For those of us in England the weather is fowl....ooops foul at the moment and has been for a couple of weeks.
So what do we do? ... We get our pens out and start writting articles for our fellow Feathered-Friends to read of course!
Have you got something to write about? is there something you would like to read about that you think a member could write about? Please let us know; please keep it bird/plant related ;) (Don't forget to include Paul in this)
Talk about weather, I have heard that the Tornado predictions are not good for America......Oh how I wish I could go storm chasing!...obviously without anybody in it's path getting hurt ;-)

Great idea!!!! You are such a motivator!!!
Well, come on over and storm chase all you like!!! I'll join ya and we could have a girls only storm chasing adventure, lol.
Tornado Alley has been quite busy (regions of the midwest on through to nearly where I am in Texas). We had a rough few weeks, but no rain since and none in sight. I only WISH it would get stormy and rainy, as I love the bad weather. There's something exciting and thrilling having to listen to the weather radio for the latest warnings. We keep a radio that sounds a LOUD alarm when there are any warnings, such as flash flood, tornado or severe thunderstorms approaching.
Not too long ago, there was hail the size of softballs. Granted, it can get dangerous and there have been a few nights where we've taken the matress off the bed and hidden under it, lol. But I still love it. Hurricane season is nearing, and we have effects from that too, depending on where it makes landfall. I hate the thought of more people losing their lives to hurricanes and tornados...but the logistics and functions of the storms are what really interest me. This rainless humid muggy weather is quite boring. It's 98 degrees today (38 Celcius?)
Okay, anyways, I'll shuttup now, lol.
So, I've been working on a couple things for the site. They are VERY slow going, as I have 3 interruptions, ages 6, 3 and 1, lol. So...I'm working on them. One focuses on the breeding notes and timelines of my berries, the other focuses on breeding and husbandry troubleshooting. Im sure I'll think of more, but I'd like to have these two up on the board by lets say 2007, LOL! Just kidding. It might be a couple more weeks, though.

Hi Nikki,
I can't wait for your input :p
Most people I know think I am crazy to want to go storm chasing! I watch all the programs going on the subject. Mother nature is absolutely amazing!
I have seen some small whirl-winds here, just enough to throw market stands in the air, nothing spectacular even so I still stared in amazement :lol:

Hi Nikki
I a stayed up late to watch football!!! Normally I hate the game but there is going to be a charity match at the weekend to raise funds for UNICEF.
It is two celebrity teams and they are captained by Robbie Williams and Gordon Ramsey (mmmmm....;-) ).
Kenny
who will you be, the scarecrow, the lion or the tin man? :lol:

hello Laura
hopefully they both had terrible injuries and will never be able to talk, swear or sing again.
i don't watch anything with celebrity in it, because i couldn't give a flying fish about them. wouldn't it be easier for them just to fork out the money, i bet mr Williams has spent more money on pink fluffy handbags than he raised for any charity. celebraty, i feel dirty for saying such a word, i would gladly watch celebraty suicide, where they jump off the nearest high building for charity

OKay, Im a bit lost here, lol...
Of course, football to you is soccer to me, right? And what kinds of celebrities are doing this? Actors? Athletes?
And...Matthew...of which certain program on a certain channel do you speak? I know, I know, probably one I've never heard of, lol. My guess would be a reality show of some sort. Seems to have lots of people here hooked.

hello Nikki
yep, football over here is football for some deluded reason when your country became independant your country decided to call football soccor, and rugby (changed a little) foot ball, thats life i suppose we are all weird in some way shape or form.
you'll have to let someone who watched it say who the celebraties are, a wide range of faceless nobodies or annoying somebodies no doubt
i'm sure you know of Robbie williams, and gordon ramsey is an ex footballer who is famous for being a hard faced know it all cook who must have some form of terrets due to the fact he is allus swearing, just list the celebraties laura and i will gladly describe them for our over seas friend here.
you are on the right lines their Nikki, so you best leave it there, otherwise i'm going to be booking a ticket to Texas....

Hiya Nikki Gordon Ramsay is a top chef in the UK Robbie Williams is a top pop/rock star both of them are second to none in my eyes so what they are doing to raise funds for less fortunate people than ourselves is fantastic not only them but stars past and present from the football world and the celebrity world.
From Monday's TV guide, the introduction given for Soccer Aid is as follows;
A series in which And and dec introduce all the action as celebrities and past world cup heroes compete for a place in the starting line-up for an England V The Rest Of The World match at old Trafford in aid of international charity, UNICEF. The duo talk to organiser Robbie Williams, Coronation Street star Bradley Walsh and the managers of the two squads, Terry Venables and Ruud Guillit. :-D they hope to raise cash to help kids with aids and people who have no fresh water or medical help of any kind it is in my eyes its so easy to knock the good work that people do no matter how rich or poor they might be. so in my book more power to them :grin:

Hi Nikki
it is a mixture of retired football players, actors, singers and TV personalities.
Matthew, I really don't care what you think about it. Your opinion is just that.

Ohhhhhhh...I remember who Gordon Ramsey is...isnt he that blond chef that can cook his fanny off??? He had a reality show that would give a restaurant away to the winner, right? He was terrific to watch in action.
Okay...
U.S.------------------>U.K.
Soccer--------------->Football
Football------------->Rugby
Baseball------------>Cricket
LOL...with a few rule changes of course, lol. Okay, maybe a bit more than a few!
Personally, I'm a baseball fan. Love watching the international games, as I'm from overseas and hubby is Texas bred, lol.
I do think it is wonderful to see celebs donating time and their names to invite people to raise awareness to childrens funds. We almost lost our daughter and youngest son in 2 separte incidences...and the children's hosptials really have a place in my heart.
Matthew,
Lemme guess...it isnt that American Idol mumbo jumbo, is it????? I dont think we have a vomitting smilie, lol. Buy that ticket, lol. They have auditions here in Austin...we can chuck tomatos together, lol.
