Another great article from oue resident fiction writer Kenny in this weeks C & A.

A great piece mate, although i felt it was bordering on soft porn with the mention of womens underwear:D

The thought of you standing in your garden swinging a pair of ya wifes tights around head is mind boggling

hi matt/jimmy
who the best thing is my wife doesnt like being swung round by her legs in the garden,..................i told you matt that the quality of their content was taking a nose dive if they will print anything by me they will print anything.the only thing is i always mention feathered freinds but they always miss it off, bbia got a mention last week and ff3 a few weeks ago so why are they discriminating against us

seem strange Ken. than again it is a paper that allows pictures of a canary being ripped through the cage by a sparrow hawk so.....

hi kenny,

great stuff mate keep em coming! i dont normally bother adding in the various forums on the articles as everytime i have done so it's been cut out. although my head is like a seive and i tend to forget to add in the WFS stuff at the bottom of the article most of the time anyway:lol:

keep trying, they did this with FF3 for ages but eventually they have recognised the site and they will do the same with us in time

Chris:wink:

you right Ken they got the picture very wrong,

lonchura pallida is actually the pale-headed munia is fairly similar to the white headed nun, why they hell mr Baggs has to recommend them i don't know there is none about, perhaps only a select few in the country so the average joe blogs bird keeper ain't ever going to get his hands on them, there were never common in the first place to my knowledge so with imports being long gone, i would recomment his choosing some other birds that we might actually be able to get hold of like the parrot finch???

i have sent a letter off, lets just see if they print it

hi chris/matt
they not only misse off the website name ,i mentioned a couple of brand names in the soaked seed letter but it wouldn`t hurt them to put it in as it tells people what other people are using on there seed etc.no wonder other people think bird keepers are secretive with their additives etc if they dont print what you use.the way i see it is it creates more written stuff for the paper by people writing in and saying things like i dont use that crap.i like a bit of constuctive criticism thats what reading a paper is all about .......oh god i am rambling....bye

We did get a mention in Rogers article, although you would need a magnifying glass to read it!

Although I am pleased to see new members, I am very happy with the way the forum is going, and I hope you are too.

I have neglected the 'main info' pages though, so if you think anything should be added or taken away, or if you would like to add something please let me know.

hi laura
i cant see anything wrong with the site as it is ,i dont presume to mention it in letters to the c&a because i think it needs new blood or a rearangment in any way.i only mention it or try to mention it because i think it deserves recognition for being such a freindly site and different to all the others ....i like it just the way it is i know that like a lot of people on this site you have to work and thats why the posting is sporadic but putting nikki in as a moderator is a great idea as she can do the night shift and maybe attract visitors from other parts of the world that are active at that time in the morning as far as posting is concerned i sometimes find it hard to find fresh news every week as i do like to stir things up a bit with regards to healthy comment exchange.......i am quite happy with the way the forum is and thats definate

Hi Ken,

If the News isn't available for you to report then you cannot post something new every five minutes.;-)

I must mention the fact that recently on reading the pages of C&A I have felt the feeling of deja vu, because I have read your reports here before reading them printed in C&A.

Good on ya Ken.

Paul.:D

HI Kenny,

if you remember a while ago when the elections were on i did some digging to find out what each party's stance was on birdkeeping and bird shows etc. after i eventually got a reply from everyone and from various other sources i put it all together on this site somewhere. a week later the whole lot was in C&A and i didn't bloody write it for them either! near enough identical except for it was worded and ordered differently, a trick used by many i know who copy work at college...

my advice would be if you think they're going to steal what you put on here, send it into C&A first as it will take a month for them to process and print it, then pop it up on here once you've sent it in. speaking of which i've got a new and improved CPQ article to be added to this site if it's wanted  C&A got it near enough a month ago now with photos and all so i'll be keeping my eye on the paper to see if/when it gets printed

Chris;)

my advice would be to copyright all you work on here, then if they nick it you can sue them
