hi i am getting some amethyst starlings from laura i have a male splendid sunbird trying to find a hen but mainly i have parrots i am looking forward to my new arrivals to join my flock

thanks for telling me about the site :p its good were will i find the pics of ametysts ?im looking forward to getting them what do u use for nesting material for thier nest box john is going to be busy building a new aiviary space for them this week:!:

Hi Gill

I tend to use a variety of nest building material. Unfortunately, the Amethysts have not had time to start nesting for me as I didn't get them until near the end of the season last year and I have devoted a lot of time getting them into good condition.

I would normally use coconut fibre, hay and long stem grasses.
