hi all,

would a trio of bichenos - live happily in my collection with silverbills, stars, goldbreasts and greensingers?

Also would they be ok with no heat at this time of year? as the above mentioned birds are in a 12ft l x 7ft w x 6ft h flight with a couple of plants without heat and are all doing great???

and last thing could peaple tell me would 2 cocks & 1 hen breed successfully together or am i better keeping the spare cock seperate?

Thanks
Dave

hello Dave

2 cocks and a hen? your asking for trouble there, better to have 2 pairs

and avoid risking fighting.

Bicheno's really could do with heat to stay happy and healthy, your asking for trouble if they don't have heat, such as egg binding. if they are going to be housed in and indoor/outdoor aviary all year make sure the aviary is well covered with plastic.

as for mixing them you have got greensingers with goldbreasts, so flipping bicheno's shouldn't be too much of a problem, i have seem Bichenos in with silverbills begies and grey singers and they went well together.

i used to have a pair in with my waxbills but i removed them because they were abit bitchy, though your aviary is obviously bigger
