Hi Laura,

Many thanks to you for agreeing to exchange two of your Jacarini Finches for two of mine today.;-)

As you know I was thinking of selling all of my Jacarinis due to a few reasons, one being because I ended up with more cocks than hens last year and I thought you had too, also because I felt that with the new Birds I have recently bought I wouldn't have room for Jacarinis this year.
But after the exchange we made today I now have three pairs, one of which are reserved for my old friend Bill Painter and the other two will stay here for breeding this year.:D

I'm sure that after a dozen or so plans on paper I can come up with a suitable aviary plan for breeding from all of the pairs of Birds I have for this year.

Thanks again mate and I hope you, myself and the increasing number of fellow Jacarini Finch breeders here in the UK can follow in the footsteps of the Australian breeders who have managed to establish the Jacarini finch in Aviculture.

Paul.;)

Hi Ken and Laura,

Ken,

Laura exchanged Birds with me, rather than in your case where Birds were given to you after your unfortunate case when your Birds were stolen.:(
But I'm still extremely grateful for the exchange with Laura, because without it I would have probably sold the remaining Jacarini Finches I have.

Laura,

I know we have both benefited from the exchange,:D but I thought I had missed my chance of pairing up these Birds with the passing of the recent Stafford Show.
In the end it was only due to a surprise occurrence in that you had more hens than cocks that meant we could both pair up the Birds we both needed.

I guess really I'm thankful for the situation, but, having said that I'm extremely grateful that things have turned out well for me and yourself regarding going one step further this year towards establishing Jacarini Finches in UK Aviculture, so on that note thanks again Laura.

I'll shut up now, Paul.;)
