Hi Laura,
Many thanks to you for agreeing to exchange two of your Jacarini Finches for two of mine today.;-)
As you know I was thinking of selling all of my Jacarinis due to a few reasons, one being because I ended up with more cocks than hens last year and I thought you had too, also because I felt that with the new Birds I have recently bought I wouldn't have room for Jacarinis this year.
But after the exchange we made today I now have three pairs, one of which are reserved for my old friend Bill Painter and the other two will stay here for breeding this year.:D
I'm sure that after a dozen or so plans on paper I can come up with a suitable aviary plan for breeding from all of the pairs of Birds I have for this year.
Thanks again mate and I hope you, myself and the increasing number of fellow Jacarini Finch breeders here in the UK can follow in the footsteps of the Australian breeders who have managed to establish the Jacarini finch in Aviculture.
