First Swallow of the year?

Hi all saw my first swallow this morning at about 8 oclock. very high and doing about 90mph in the wind.

nice one,summers here then,the local swifts will be here in may i love to see them fly to the river bank near me and fly back to the houses to make their nests in the eaves but the best time is when the youngsters are whizzing in between our houses dodging the washing lines

Hi all, My uncle has a swallow which nests in the top of his porch every year it arrived back on the same day as last year(uncles birthday)how about that for a birthday present.how do they do it. They are my favorite bird.:-D

Your Uncle is lucky to have such a nice Birthday present,;-) unfortunately I live in a bungalow, so I don't have the pleasure of Swallows nesting on the eaves here.:roll:
