Hiya

I do like rats, we had some before but unfortunately they are not very long lived and tend to suffer from tumors:(

Hi laura We have a lot of trouble with the wild kind,as we breed ducks and have a lot of ponds we had one for about 4 weeks taking ducklings and adult birds just one or two holes in the neck and kill again the next night it drove my father-in -law to stay up all night for 2-3 days we got him in the end just one as big as a 4 week old rabbit:shock: horrible thing uh but i am sure you will get a lot of pleasure out of yours.

hi trudy/laura
i think it something about their tails that put most people off,i dont hate them i just prefer other rodents.when i have been walking the dogs on the river bank in a summer i have seen young rats playing on the grass verge,it was really funny to watch them

Hi Ken and Roger,

I too saw a TV programme some time ago that explained how the Rat was a figure of worship in India, they were filmed in a street feeding and drinking from what was provided by the people there in their shops and houses, and if a white Rat turned up it was regarded as a message of good fortune.

Rats are well known for being very clean Animals on par with Cats, but I don't think I could share my home with wild Rats!

Ken,

That turbine must have caused some hefty pressure to that poor guys neck, did you notice any discomfort on his part?

Paul.;-)

hi paul
i think by the look on his face it was a wind powered turbine:lol:

My Rat, Fizz, is a very clean rat

I've had rats before. Once when Roger and I went on holiday I had to ask my Mum (who hates rats) to lookafter Sybil for me. I told her (tongue in cheek) that she had egg on toast for breakfast; so Mum cooked herself egg on toast everyday just to give Sybil some
