Ken/Matthew
Thanks for the welcome - like the site and look forward to joining in.
I keep a variety of foreign finch and at the moment am concentrating on establishing lines of home bred Red Headed Finch/Magpie Mannikins.
I also keep a range of Javas, Star finch, and the St Helena Waxbills. With the usual and essential back up crew of good bengalese fosters.
I have had an interesting couple of months with my first Red Headed chick out of the nest. Magpie Manninkin chicks in the nest and St Helenas now moulted out. I no longer keep birds outdoors and everything I breed does so in 4ft double breeders.
I , like so many others, am looking for more Red Headed Finches to make up more pairs and hopefully if Matthew breeds some we could exchange bloodlines at some time in the future.
I am also looking for some Cuban Finches and will be seeing if there are any good ones at Stafford next month.
