To Ring or Not to Ring??

It has been suggested to me on many occasion that I should ring my baby Weavers. At what age should this be done?

Also, bearing in mind my weavers nest where they like which is generally at the top of my bamboo with the entrance to the nest facing away from easy reach.

First of all I am going to have difficulty getting to the nest and secondly I am scared the Mother will abandon her babies.

I can see the reason for ringing but I think I also have a good argument for not doing so. What do you think? :roll:

Hi Laura,

I see no point in risking the loss of chicks you manage to breed from your Weavers, when you have witnesses to confirm you have bred the Birds you have.
