Hello all,

Although this post applies more to Laura and Roger, I thought I would post it here anyway.

On Friday I had a chat with a customer/patient.
After he recovered from the Brain Surgery I performed on him and he had got dressed I noticed he was wearing an RSPB sweatshirt, it turned out that he was an employee rather than a member.

He told me that he worked on a Reserve at Arne and after my quizzing regarding the Bird Species there he told me that although they don't breed there, that a pair of Marsh Harriers and a single Hen Harrier have been seen on the Reserve at Arne this year.:D
Both are Species that I haven't had the pleasure of seeing before, but he also mentioned that Great Grey Shrikes also turn up on the Reserve, which again is a Species is another that I haven't seen before.

It just seems to me that the Reserve is a Goldmine when it comes to both Birdwatching and the opportunity of good Bird photography.

Paul.

Last year Roger and I went for a walk there; we saw several deer and also a group of 'twitchers' getting excited over something. We went over and they kindly let us look though their huge monoculars? and we saw an Osprey!

AHHH!! Laura and Roger:o

You have both seen an Osprey at Arne and didn't tell me?

Oh well it just goes to show how great an area this is for seeing such a huge mix of Bird Species,:D many of which I have yet to see (mainly because I spend way too much time in bed  ).
