Hiya

do any of you belong to a bird club, you know the sort that have meetings every month?

If so, do you find it to be of benefit to you?

I am thinking of attending a local meeting, but I don't know what to expect.

Hello Laura,

I have been a member & Committee member of my old local Bird Clubs in Surrey, Aldershot Cage Bird Society, Camberley C.B.S. & Guildford Avicultural Society.
I have also been a member of the local Bird Clubs in Dorset, Poole & Parkstone C.B.S., Broadstone C.B.S., Bournemouth & Counties C.B.S., Dorset Budgie & Foreign Bird C.B.S. etc etc.
You should expect to find Talks on all types of Cage & Aviary Birds ie Canaries, Budgies, Foreign & British Birds, this could be the breeding or even the exhibiting of these Birds, also Slide Shows on peoples visits to Shows, Zoos, other breeders etc, Judging competitions, Table Shows etc.
What most Bird keepers/breeders fail to realise is that we can learn from all branches of Cage & Aviary Birdkeeping, Foreign Bird keepers can learn from Budgie, Canary & British Bird keepers & vise versa.
