well i have finally got my pair of diamond's, already the cocks have been displaying, that is my favourite sight.
the only problem is ther are in a 6ft indoor aviary for the winter with a pair each of gold-breasts and Red avadavats, and they are scared to death to say that is an understatement, i don't think they would panic anymore if i had a cattery in there.
i hope they will settle down soon, other wise i will have to sell the buggers or breed them in large cages (the diamonds)

hi matt
have seen this before when i put quail in an indoor flight with my javas it was weeks before they would go on to the lower perches and they went the highest, furthest corner and just sat there looking at the quail as if they where glenn close clones.the diamond doves might have been used to no birds or bigger birds with them.i suppose goldbreasts and strawberries are like flies buzzibg round there heads at the moment.they should settle eventually or you could move your waxbills and see if they are still the same.if they have come out of an outside flight they might just feel that they are resticted as to where they can go they should get used to the smaller space eventually

thanks Ken

i new they would panic to start with like, but not as bad as this.
i have left the radio on in there so that will help calm them, time will tell i suppose.
