I have wondered in the past what situation the World would be in today if John Lennon had lived and continued writing until now?
He was an inlfuential Artist when he was alive, so we will never know what a difference he could have made to the way the World has operated over the past 25 years since he was taken away from us.
Sure I know we take more notice of the work of Musical Artists who die at a young age, such as Jimi Hendrix, Joan Jett, Jim Morrison, Buddy Holly, Mamma Cass, Elvis Presley and Freddie Mercury etc.
But John Lennon was a Legend when he was alive and this status only increased when he was murdered.
Mark Chapman is not needed in this World!
He is nothing but a genetical f****p who chose to snuff out the flame of an influential genius with the pathetic goal of gaining the attention of the World, if he is ever allowed freedom then I'm sure it will be a very short lived experience.

well said mate ,tonights programme should have been about john lennon himself his life and music .not giving air time to a big loser like that isaw it was on but i couldnt watch it they are just giving him what he wants fame !

I didn't watch the programme but I've heard that the killer worked for the CIA and had been 'brain-washed' to kill Lennon because of the influence he had on things such as War? It's a shame although I wasn't around at the time.

I didn't watch the programme either and I agree with your point Kenny that John Lennon's life and work should have been celebrated instead of the waster who took away this Man from our lives.

Like yourself I have heard of the conspiracy theories regarding the death of John Lennon and to be honest I'm not sure of the credibility of these theories?
There are people still alive today who know the truth, but choose, or are forced not to tell us the truth regarding the death of John Lennon.
And the same is said of JFK, but back then was John Lennon regarded as much as a threat as JFK?

We will never know.

according to the record books elvis presley was also being watched by the fbi........a book i was reading that was about john lennon meeting elvis and lennon told elvis about all the hassle he was getting from the us government and elvis showed him some momento and commented about being hassled hiself so do you think they killed him like they did monroe

There are conspiracy theories surrounding the deaths of John Lennon, JFK, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley.

I'm starting to worry that Den Watts from Eastenders isn't actually dead, and we were all fooled into thinking he is dead, but he was only hit on the head by a sponge model of a Dog in the shower.:lol:

I agree a man born before his time and will always be remembered for saying what he though. A true legend after death and his song will be for ever.
Kenny what is your claim to fame do you sing? may be we can find an old photo of you singing at the pub, or is you fame more down to earth as just being a nce guy even with the disadvantage as living so far up England or is it down from Scotland. Allan

my only claim to fame is i have a photo of myself holding the rugby league challenge cup.apart from that there is nothing special about me ,i am a very easy going type of bloke that dosent get surly when he drinks and will help anyone out ,as long as it is within my means, apart from that i am as normal as the next guy but i do have a touch of robocop about me since being in the hospital
