Hello Matthew,

I'm sorry to hear your friend is having to sell up,:( I do hope he will be able to return to the Birds very soon.

As you know I very much like the Black Crowned Waxbills and this opportunity is an excellent one to start up with these Birds, unfortunately I'm in the same boat as Chris, I simply don't have the room.:(

A good friend of mine, who is also a WFS member (W.P from Surrey) may well be interested in buying them though, I will call him tomorrow.

If I have the correct name? I hope Ian gets back on track very soon.;)

Paul.

Hello Matthew,

I'm very pleased you may have found someone to hold the Birds for Ian until circumstances change for the better.

But if you do come unstuck, please feel free to ask for help and I will see what I can do, because I may have another option available?

Paul.;-)

PS. Kenny, I hope Allans scarves aren't needed in this case matey.;-)

thanks Paul,

its difficult at the moment i am only able to contact him via his work e-mails and has not answered.

thats for the offer though :)

Ken

Black-crowns are quite hardy birds, but still should have a little heat, have you found a design for you bird's scarves yet?

hi matt
my wife has an old design in her machine knitting pattern book and it has pictures of birds and eggs on it and back in the 80s i remember she made me a pair of gloves with the pattern on but i was to scared to go out side with them on.i lost one of my old birds last night she had been looking rough all summer and she hadnt bred this year and she is usually good for a couple of rounds but she just didnt bother so i had a good idea she woudn`t see the winter out ,the water was frozen in the bird bath out side last night but it was warm enough inside,i think it was her time nearly 5 years .as i said it cant have been the cold as i have all those chicks that have hatched and they are all ok today.this weather is foxing me i dont know why they are still breeding:roll:

I like the sound of those gloves mate, bet you looked a treat in them.

Did you have elastic through your sleeves so you didn't lose them:razz:

shame about losing her but like you said she was knocking on abit,
