Hello
I would be very interested to hear from anyone that breeds or has bred Cape Sparrows, as I purchased my first pair this year.

I'm so excited! When I got home from work tonight I spotted one of my hen Cape Sparrows nest building. She is using a box that Roger made :p

That's great!!!
One thing I've noticed with keeping and breeding birds....the novice overlooks the major accomplishment of having them build a nest!! There are so many stages to breeding...any of these stages is a major accomplishement. of couse, chicks are always the desired end result...but without each step, the final isnt possible!!!
Terrific! Keep us updated!!! Nice that she approves of Roger's house!!

Hi Laura,
Nice one mate,;) the best news is that the total recorded UK breedings of Cape Sparrows can be counted on one hand.
So if you all goes well I can see another F.B.A. breeding certificate coming your way.
All the best, Paul.;)
