Hi all

Can you remember that I was uncertain whether or not I was going to keep my Waxbills, due to the heating costs?

Well, Roger has just completed a new indoor cage for them to go in ;-) There are just a few finishing touches to be made, such as perches, food & water bowls, but hopefully I will have them indoors soon. :)

Let me know what you think of it. ;-)

By the way the dimensions are 4ft high by 27" deep and 28" wide, that is not including the stand. It has to be this size so that it can be wheeled through the doorways.

Now the birds will be able to share our heat

thats a cracking cage you've got there, and well done Roger for making it.

what birds are you intent on housing in there then?

I forgot to mention, Roger is also going to put white hardboard on two sides. Not only to reduce the chance of draught but also to protect the walls from....err..poop! :)

Guess what Matthew? Jimmy is right!

Hi Laura,

The flight cage looks great!

But I think another photo of Roger should be posted, if only to prove he really isn't one of the Chuckle Brothers.

Hi Jimmy,

I think Matthew meant,

Oh gosh you sarcastic chap James. I knew Laura intended on including various Waxbill Species in her Winter aviary, but I only enquired regarding exactly which Species were to be housed in this exquisite housing?

As much of a surprise as it may be you James you extremely well educated Gentleman of Southern origin, but it just so happens that there are several Waxbill Species.

I am so very pleased to have cleared this up with you James, much respect to you, from your poorly educated Northen Bird lover Matthew.

  laugh now you cider supping slack-jawed yocals of the south

but we in the north will have the last laugh as when global warming takes hold in a few decades, much of the south will be under water and with it gone the over priced, inflated, congested and slightly inbred south.

Hi Matthew,

I'm ever so sorry mate, you are right this thread isn't about Southerners being of a higher education than our unfortunate poorly educated Northern friends, it is about an indoor aviary built for Laura by her Husband Roger (the forgotten Chuckle Brother:lol: ).

Top job Roger well done mate!!!

Paul.
