Hi Loura and Kenny, I also like the old photography, here is a pick I took a while ago of some of my birds.

Nice shots Karl ;-)

Here is a couple more; the 1st one is Rogers Yellow Mantled Wydah and the second is obviously a Starling, I think they are stunning birds.

more great picture Laura.

someone was advertising those Russian rats for sale in the cage and aviary a few weeks ago.

strange with them i have had a pair roost in the rafter for years, yet they have never nested there, and i never get them feeding on the bird table, very strange that everywhere else they are like vultars.

Wow,
I assume you both use digital cameras, the pics are so clear.

Mine is simply a Fuji FinePix S5100 Digital Camera 4.0mpx
Not that pricy really

This is the same one as took the pick of the black head jave I had in my avatar

Hi Jimmy, it did cost slightly more than some digital cameras as I had an Olympus camedia prior and always had problems taking distance shots.
This one is 10x zoom.

In the future if I can ever afford one I would also like a digital SLR, mainly so I can get some cracking wild bird and wildlife shots at around 100 yards away.

When I lived up country, we had woodland at the back of our house and through the summer I had a hide and I took some great bird picks.

hi Karl,

10 x zoom is not bad mate, mine is standard 3 optical + 3 digital, as you say not to clever for distance photos.

I looked at Lauras on the net, nice camera, to close to christmas for me.

unless someone buys me one, i'll put it on my list and see what happens
