Hi all,
Just a petty whinge, but my opinion on the point of Avatars was that they were a mark of identification of the member posting, it seems that some Avatars are being doubled upon, and in one case there are four members using the same Avatar.:?
On another Forum (Dendroworld), the Website owner (Jono) has asked members to name the Species they would like as an Avatar, and has provided the best he can to give the members what they have asked for.
Would members here be interested in Avatars of their choice if Laura, the Moderating team and other members can help to provide the Bird Species you would like as an Avatar??
Please bear in mind that certain photographs are protected by copyright, so if you wanted an Avatar showing certain rare Species, chances are that the only photographs available are covered by copyright.
So if you ask for a photo of a Resplendent Quetzel you may be out of luck, because as far as I know this Species doesn't exist in any UK collections, but if you are reasonable in your request it should be possible to provide an Avatar of your choice.;)
By the way if this does take off, it might be a good idea to post more than one requested Species in order of preference, due to photos of certain Birds not being available, for instance I would love to have an Avatar depicting my cock Rhodospingus Finch or my cock Red Crested Finch, but for now I'm very happy to use the excellent photo taken by Laura of one of the Japanese Waxwings owned by my Father and myself, at a later date I hope to get a good photo of the Rhodospingus or Red Crested Finch to use as my Avatar.
You may have noticed we have our very own Superhero on board, in the form of Bananaman:lol: AKA, Chris Dunn, so obviously you don't have to use a Bird as your Avatar.
Please let us know if we can provide an individual Avatar to help you stand out from the rest.
Paul.

hello Paul
i think what you said about having our own avatar is a great idea, can i have a picture of an avadavat please. i would put one up myself but i cannot do it. plus my avadavats never keep still
just a word of warning though Paul, don't allow pictures of our selves because having been on other forums that have peoples faces on, i'm now mentally scared for life.  fit birds only is what a say.
preferabley not from Essex.

Hi Kenny and Mathew,
Kenny,
I wouldn't comment further in view of risking that your Tribe would rub me out.
Matthew,
I will see what I can do in providing you with a Strawberry Finch Avatar, I quess that Laura would be your best bet in providing you with what you want.

No probs Matthew,
The reason I suggested Laura, is because her Strawberry Finch actually looks like one! When Laura saw mine she asked 'whats happened to your Strawberry Finch?'.
To say he looks interesting, is the nicest thing I can say about him, if you are a Blackadder fan you may remember Percie's Ruff in a particlular episode, the poor thing closely resembles Percy in that episode.
I will post a photo one day and you will see what I mean.
So how about it Laura, could you please provide Matthew with an Avatar featuring your cock Strawberry??
