Hi all, I'm sure we have all read Paul's tip on feeding Madeira cake to our birds, well I have just discovered my birds far prefer Carrot cake! They go mad for it :razz:

Is carrot beneficial to birds?

hello Laura,

Carrot is actually beneficial to out birds, as it is to us, though i'm not sure of the nutrirional qualities, of carrot cake.

the only nutritional value i can think of from a carrot at the moment is vitamin D, which helps maintain eye sight and improves it if you are lacking in the vitamin. we often have carrot cake and banana cake so i will give it a go myself when i get the chance, as well as trying out the banana cake

As Matthew and Chris have stated, Carrot Cake can only be good for your Birds.
