when is the best time to buy british finches. and if i wanted to try and breed them next year what age birds should i get.

Hi mate,

now is probably the best time to buy most british finches as the breeding season has almost ended and most breeders will be selling off this years young about now. as for the age that's entirely up to you, if you buy young birds now they will be ready for breeding next year, if you wait untill next year before buying birds try to buy adult in about Febuary (make sure they are acclimatised first), that way they may breed for you in that year
