Hiya

I have now moved on from keeping Mantids (mainly due to them dying); I now have 5 Tarantulas, some giant prickly phasmids (stick insects) and another species of stick insects - ramulus nematodes. My oldest daughter has a water Dragon and my youngest is keeping fruit beetles as well as dumbo rats and a leopard gecko.

I am really getting into the phasmids and hope to get some of the more interesting species e.g. peruvian fern and peruphasma schultei - I have also thought about getting some of the common Indian sticks as they breed so well. We had some once before and were over run with the things but they made a good live food for my birds :-P

Hi Matthew
I have never heard of a water stick insect (you don't mean Pooh sticks do you? :p )

There is a Prickly species that can be found in Devon; it is thought that they came from New Zealand arriving on imported plants.
