i'm trying to identify a weaver sold to me as a red bill cock, but after 1 month only the red bill, no red face. he's as big as a roller canary with charcoal and light undefined stripes on the side of the head. i'm looking for a mate for him/her any ideas can you forward a picky of one of your adult males so i can compare, also an estimate of it's size. thanks

do you keep your gouldians outside over the winter, i am interested in keeping a pr, but they would go in a mixed aviary with canaries, bengalese, zebras, green singers wax bills, weavers and whydahs. and i would prefer to over winter them outside. are they hardy?
:-) thanks for the picky, mines a mixture of both! no red face, but breast appears to have a pinkish hue to the fawn. i'ts quite a large weaver too, the same size as the napoleon. so all in all still no wiser.

I keep the Gouldians inside i think during the winter you would have to bring them indoors as they need to be kept warm also your weaver may be out of breeding colour as mine where brown then started to get salmon pink feathers appear on the breast then they got the black face mask
