Lavender finches.

I bought a pair of Lavender finches at Easter but one of them died a few weeks ago.I have heard that they pair for life and was wondering if it is worth getting another bird to go with the one i've got or should I sell him and get a new pair.Look forward to hearing your views.

I'm unaware of the life pairing theory with Lavenders, if I was you I would try another partner with your existing Bird.

i have heard that rumour before, but like paul said, i doult its true.
what i do know is that you will need to introduce the bird very carefully. perhap put a wire dividerbetween the cage so they can see ech other, and gradually let them in together in time, as they can become aggresive to newcomers.
