What do you use? Every year I take out the wooden nest boxes from the avairy, with the intention of cleaning and soaking them ready for the next year....and every year I end up throwing them away because I cannot be 'bovered' to do it.
Where can I get plastic boxes from at a good price?

hi laura
i use wooden boxes that i make myself, and found that if you drill some air holes in the base they not only let air in ..they let the water run out aswell when you clean them...you could always just scrape them and brush them out then paint them..of course if you paint them before the birds use them it makes for better cleaning..i also use the wicker ones for the zebs etc and just bin them at the end of the year

i bought mine from quicko for £2.50 each they were 12 for £30 as well i think? they do the bigger ones which are £4.25 each its up to you really i bought the cheaper ones as you can hang them both internally and externally. i write notes on them in pencil to remind mum what to do they wash off quite easily though.:D
