Hi Gill,

I have only kept aviary bred Kakarikis in the past, and I loved their unique mischievous and playful nature.
I have often wondered what a hand reared Kakariki would be like as a pet, are they even more inquisitive and playful when hand reared?

yes very funny little birds 2 of them i sold earlier on in the year talk very well their owners love them to bits one lady got 2 and they talk to anyone who will listen gill

I'm even more impressed to learn that Kakarikis are also good talkers.:-D
Their lively character on it's own should be enough to make them great pets, but now knowing they will also learn to talk is almost too tempting!!:lol:

I'm pleased to hear you managed to find homes for your youngsters, and I envy their new owners too.
I live in hope in having the room for a hand reared pet Kakariki in the future, but also to witness a talking Kakariki.
