Hiya, sorry have not been on here for a while; at the begining of the week I had to make the dificult decision to rehome one of my dogs:? I have had her since January 2004 and she was 3 months old when I got her. The problem was she was jealous of everyone and everything. I made the mistake of teasing her a couple of months ago and have a permanent reminder on my chin, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt as I felt it was my own fault for teasing her.
On Monday for no aparent reason she picked on our older dog and left her with some nasty deep puncture wounds to her leg, it was this that made my mind up, who knows next time it could have been the kids!
I telephoned the breeder I got her from to see if he knew anyone with a farm that could home her as she was very good at vermin control. He told me to take her back to him as he will always take his dogs back if there is a problem, I did this that very same night.
I was heartbroken but knew I was making the right decision. He took Annie and put her in a pen, he then led me away and opened the door to another pen. Out walked the smallest, cutest pup I have ever seen, he said is this a fair exchange!!!!
I couldn't believe what he had said, and I replied that I couldn't, I had had Annie for over a year and here he was offering me another dog for NO extra cost. He gave me the puppy to hold, well that was it, there was no turning back. He said if I wasn't happy with her after a couple of weeks' he would give me back my money.
This guy is one in a million, and so is our new puppy who I have called Millie.
I hope that Annie is much happier now, I know she is with someone who will care for her and is able to give her the environment she is far happier in. Take care Annie
