Hi, just wanted to share that our little bird show got much bigger this year and was held in a new place. My friend was meeting me there with some birds...white societies and chocolate pieds. He left his cage with one of his friends to watch...of course his friend got interested in something else and didn't see the little boy opening the cage and setting the birds free! Nothing was said or done, I guess these things happen...unfortunately now I have to wait 6 to 9 months before I can get a white male for my female which was the only bird left in the cage. So this is my thought, if I ever show/sell birds at a show I'm putting locks on the cages so little fingers can't undo the twist ties.

hi roxie
have been to many shows where birds are set free an usually they are caught when everyone has gone home...provided the show is indoors....but the birds being set free is not always mischief as alot of people are light fingered and would rather take your birds than breed thier own

This was a child ken, a little guy, I'm sure he only wanted to "play" with the birds...and it was inside a building but the big huge doors were open, so I'm sure they got. No matter I just glad I have the female for some reason.

hi roxie
you need one of those key ring clips like a little hook so little prying fingers cannot undo them

I'll tell my friend that...it was his cage that got into, mine I always keep with me. Thanks again.
