Hi all, i have bought some double breeding cages with one large door and one smaller door for a nest box.my question is what nest boxes do you use is there any special ones or do you just fit what you can.its for my goudians to bring them inside.any help please.

hello Trudy you can buy speciall gauldian boxes or they will use normal finches boxes, all you need to do is screw 2 small hooks on them and hang them from the outside, for easy access etc, i cannot describe the design but its a neat square shape witha liftable lid, not the one that have sloping, solid roof that over hangs

just ask your husband if he will let the birds use it for a while:grin: seriouly though i find those hooks for fixing pictures up more flexible for hanging nest boxes up as you can hook them on and bend them in to place for a tighter fit .i have some square ones at the moment that fit through the cage door and 2 picture hooks fixed to the back enables you to fix them inside if you wish and just put the hooks over the cage front top but matts idea is just as good!

supapets sell some plastic ones for £2.50 each have the fixing hooks already on them bargain i bought 6 the weekend
