hi all,

ive had my Indians out in the flight for at least a month now,

they have had 1 prominent nest - this has a fair number of eggs in it and are being incubated!

Also i think i have 1 or 2 other nests with odd eggs in.

But Success when i went and looked in main nest today there was at least 2 chicks :D so my colony is growing!

Hope all the eggs hatch as theres about 8 but dont know how many for sure.

Matthew the birds i got from you i have seen 1 of them in this nest so thanks!

Thanks
Dave

p.s - my africans are doing to bad either i have 5 chicks under fosters :)

Hi Dave,

Congratulations with your Indian Silverbills,;) I hope that providing communication between breeders of these birds continues then they wont be lost to UK Aviculture.

All the best, Paul.:-)

ill continue to breed my 6 but will where ever possible pick up singles either sexe to add to them.

ive really liked the silverbills, first year breeding them and proving very fertile and very reliable.

Thanks

Hi Dave,

I'm pleased your are proving to be prolific breeders,;) mine on the other hand since rearing the two chicks they have laid a couple of clutches and not hatched a single chick from either of them.

I just hope I can get a successful late round from them before I sell them to Chris?

Hi Dave,

I hope you manage to breed these birds in good numbers later this year, if not next year.

All the best, Paul.;)
