I had to move my Starlings into solitary confinement today  Yesterday following a day out we came home to discover 3 'murdered' CPQ chicks!

It had to be the Starlings and as I have other birds in the aviary with chicks in the nest I couldn't take the risk.

Maybe on their own they may start thinking of starting a family?

Hi Laura and Roger,

It is a huge shame that you lost the CPQ chicks, but I hope that the remaining chicks of the other birds in the aviary will benefit from the removal of the Starlings.:D

I also hope that the Starlings go on to breed in their new seperate housing, if not later this year then next year.;-)

All the best, Paul.:D

Hi Laura and Roger,

I hope that as soon as the nest boxes and cover are included this will be enough for a late round from the Starlings.

All the best, Paul.;-)

Aviary is complete, nest box is up and there is plenty of conifer for cover, and the Starlings are having a 'fabulous' time

They were SO pleased to see daylight again and have been calling all afternoon.

Another great job done husband....... now then, dare I mention the decorating again

Well done Roger and Laura,

I'm pleased the Chestnut Bellied Starlings are enjoying their new housing, as I've said before I hope they enjoy it enough to produce at least one round of youngsters for you, if not then hopefully next year.;)

All the best, Paul.:-D
