hello all, what is the best vitamin supplement powder i could use to dust on livefood?

can i use breed max, as i have plenty of that.

Hi Matthew,

the best supplements to add to livefood would be reptilux calci-pure and/or nutrobal. the first one is pure calcium to correct the phospurus : calcium inbalance, the second does much the same but is also a multi vitamin aswell as the calcium so is probably the one your after.

breedmax will do well mixed in with your eggfood

i want to boost the content of nutritional in the livefood, to make my pekin chicks stronger

Hi Matthew,

calci-pure is the one i've been using with the pekins, it sticks to the livefood better than the other one. if you gut load the livefoods first though there should be no need for a mutli vitamin, just the calcium

Hi Matthew,

I have found that Vionate adheres to any Livefood better than any other powder supplement I know of, but this doesn't mean it is the best supplement available regarding it's ingredients.

Hello All,

I'm always SO fascinated to learn what products are available to you versus here in the U.S.

As far as dusting the live food...would one squirt witha fine spray mister help the powder to stick better?

Sometimes if I';m going to be gone for a ahole day (I usually replace the food every 4 hours) I mix everything dry and spritz once with sterile water and sprinkle the powders over the top. This helps the powders to stick as opposed to falling to the bottom of the cups.

i have always dusted with the same stuff unless my birds really need a boost of something i put on ground up iodine block powder that has been in the coffee grinder,and p y m pure yeast mixture which comes in powder form and sometimes i put acouple of drops of abidec on the seed and mix it up before putting the powder on and it sticks to it well as the abidec is very sticky
