This is to let folks in the Wimborne, Dorset area know that Stapehill Abbey is having to rehome ALL of the farm animals, poultry, geese, ducks, pigs, etc. etc. etc. in the immediate future - and so if anyone can rehome any of these animals here are the contact numbers.

Poultry and four legged livestock - VIV - o1202 861686

Trio of lovely chinese geese and various ducks - KAREN - 07901 717315

Many thanks.

hi diane
why is that have they run out of money or space or is there some other reason they are having to rehome all the animals

From what I gather - the owners are selling up and the new owners have different plans for the building and grounds. They are wanting the farm complex part of the grounds cleared of the animals and equipment within the next few weeks.
No-one knows for sure, yet, what the future plans are or, in fact, who the new owners are? - it's all a bit hush hush.

We've just been told to rehome the animals.

It's such a shame - we just don't know what's going on - we are going round in circles trying to find homes quickly for various creatures.

Will keep you posted.
