Tail Growing

Hi all, my male Pin-Tailed Whydah's tail its getting longer.he did still have some black feathers on him when i got him.he is singing all day long.do you think he will grow his tail this year? what do you think?

Hi Trudy,

If your cock Pin Tail had some breeding colour when you bought him and his tail is still growing, then you can be pretty sure that he will come into full breeding plumage before the end of the year.;)
But don't be surprised by some serious aggression when he is in full colour, Pin Tailed Whydahs are well known for aggression in mixed collections.
